Reading Frequency Spectrum Results

Hi there,

New user and I am interested in discussing how to read the frequency spectrum results.

I understand that the coloring suggests decibel output (To the right) and the range of frequencies output (To the left) on the Y-Axis, and time lapsed on the X-Axis, but I am having trouble understanding the line graph that is included showing bitrate.

What does the line graph represent and how do I read it when comparing it to the frequency spectrum results.

If the line graph starts high at the beginning of the song and then gradually decreases does that represent a loss in quality as the song plays?

Would you ideally want a straight line at 320 kpbs across the entire wavelength if that is our ideal cut-off?

Please explain.

The graph shows the "density" of the frequencies.

Assumed that all samples would contain all frequencies, then this white line would be a vertical line on the most-right side of the graph.

When there are no frequencies at all, this vertical line would be on the most-left side.

Assuming there is a cutoff @16 Khz, then this line starts on the right side (because in the lower part, there are lot of frequencies present) and then will switch to the left side around 16 kHz
