The Funk crashes after scanning for a couple of seconds

ricesinice
I just purchased this and when I direct it to scan my itunes folder, it crashes after a couple of seconds in various places. I tried installing a fresh version, and it still crashes in various folders while scanning. Please help!
Thanks,
Rob

Macos allows special characters in filenames, e.g. * or ?
This cannot be processed by Fakin the Funk.
I guess this could be the reason!

Maybe, the last time it hung was on a folder of Roy  Orbison and it has this song: Ooby Dooby (Medley Of '55 And '87 Version). If that is the case it would seem that everyone that has a mac and a couple thousand songs would be having this problem. It wouldn't be so bad but, none of the information on the songs it scans before it hangs are saved because I have to force quit it!
This seems to be a big problem?

No, that name would be fine; it's only related to * and ?

Does it happen every time when scanning that folder?
Could you upload those files so I can test?

So, I am able to just pick the one Roy Orbison folder and it scanned it as you can see in the picture. Then I proceeded to scan my music folder in itunes and the second picture is after an hour with the same folder being scanned. It has not ever hung on the same folder. The only thing to do at this point is to force quit Funk.
