Testing Streaming flux

Hello to all

I'm very perplexed by the hi-fi quality of certain streaming services such as Deezer, Qobuz, ...

They sell us Flac quality in hi-fi, but it's impossible to know the real quality of the stream.

320 upscaler en flac 1000 ? ...

Personally, I doubt that everything is in very good quality flac, especially old tracks, some of which have never been re-released.

Is there any way of testing them?

That will be another challenge for FtF.

Thanks for your insights

Hey,

as far as I know, common streaming services indeed do offer high quality audio.
Since FTF is a frequency-spectrum-analyser, it reaches its limits at this point: It's hard to say whether a file is 320 kbps or a flac. Even experts can't identify differences when AB testing. (even with 256 kbps mp3)

So from my point of view, it is not THAT important if it's a high-quality mp3 or a high-quality flac, if humans cannot hear the difference :)

Hope this helps
